  • 5th July 2010 Change to Aaron Tommasi’s blog types

Hello everyone and welcome to Aaron Tommasi’s latest blog.

Aaron has decided to change the direction of his blogs. Now there will be two different blogs types either they will be information and advice blogs or image viewing blogs.

In the next two months look out for the following information blogs:

When do I book my wedding photographer?

How do I decide my photography budget and what if the photographer I want is more expensive than my budget will allow?

Whilst your awaiting the two above blogs here are some images from a recent trip that Aaron took to the lake district with his wife Rachel and their friend Louise. There are also some images taken inside of Louise’s house. Louise’s house through Aaron’s eyes you could say.

Please see below for a sneak peek and please click on the following link to view the rest of the Lakes images via Aaron’s Flickr account -Lakes2010/Aaron Tommasi Contemporary Wedding and lifestyle Photography

Pre-wedding/Engagement shoot Karen & Chris Stradling

Here is a peak of the Pre-wedding shoot for Karen and Chris on 13th Feb 2010 in Bishop Stortford . A freezing cold day and scattered showers didn’t stop the shoot from happening or dampen anyone’s spirits. Chris and Karen are getting married August of this year in Wales.  I loved the shoot yesterday and cannot wait to shoot their wedding.

    The Wenzel Shoot

Hi everyone and thanks for taking the time to read my latest blog.

I was without my Mac book pro last week as the display decided to die on me. A big thank you to the lovely guys at apple for fixing it in double quick time for me, and thank you machine for being a known fault which made a very expensive repair free…

I’ve been at the Water Gardens in Harlow recently promoting my portrait services, there has been alot of interest and the diary for lifestyle portraits is starting to become full quickly, so I would recommend booking asap to avoid disappointment (if you are wanting the images ready before Christmas).

I had a great lifestyle portrait shoot with Kim, Karen and little Jake this weekend. I’ve attached some images but to view more of the images from the shoot click on the following link -AaronTommasi/LifestylePortrait/TheWenzel20090920.

First week of September 2009 was a busy week for Aaron Tommasi Photography

Hello everyone and thank you for taking some time out of your busy days to read my blog. The beginning of the week saw me sending out literature to some stunning local venues with the possibility of me becoming one of their recommended suppliers. This of course will  be on-going (so much so that I will be doing this after I have finished this blog post), as I think it is important for venues and suppliers to work together so that the bride and groom have the ultimate experience.

I also had a commercial shoot for a Kent based exhibition stand company called ESM who are launching a new product called HUB. Which is a stand that is not custom built like most stands. This product can however be set up so differently and can be so personalized so easily that you would think it is a custom build, but as it is not, it is a fraction of the price. I think these guys have developed and produce something so interesting here especially considering the current economical climate that I feel this will be a very successful product for them and I wish them all the best. To few images of this product please click on the following link -Aaron Tommasi/Commercial/ESM-HUB display.

I went into London Kings Cross as well to watch and shoot the amazing new band called Jon Paul Palombo. I could try and describe their music but I know I would be ridiculed by the band for a lame description, so I recommend that you go on the above link (the name of the band) and have a listen to them, my favorites are Jimmy and People, listen to me I sound like a groupy ha ha. A fantastic gig and some good images I’ve attached a few images to the bottom of the blog. to few more images click on the following link -Aaron Tommasi Photography/Live bands/Jon Paul Palombo some crazy lighting at the venue though, white balance thrown straight out of the window. Lucky I like a challenge.

I spent Saturday at the Water Gardens at Harlow advertising my lifestyle portrait service. I’m there for most of the month so if your in the area come and say hello. I’m running a prize draw whilst I’m there and the winning will recieve a free portrait shoot including one framed print as well. My wife and I found it very funny as the British mentality cannot seem to understand the concept of the word free and seem to think that there is surely a catch. Well I can assure everyone when i say free that is exactly what I mean. A big hello to all the people that stopped to say hello.

    Things are coming along nicely

Hello everyone and welcome to the latest blog of Aaron Tommasi contemporary wedding and lifestyle portrait photographer.

I hope everyone is doing well? Its been a very busy week for myself.

I currently in the process of contacting wedding venues in Essex with the aim of becoming a wedding photographer on their recommended suppliers list. I’ve looked into every venue I have contacted or are about to contact to see whether it is a venue I want to build a close working relationship with. I could have contacted as many as possible but I am a firm believer in quality not quantity. I believe that a good working relationship by all suppliers/venues etc leads to a greater experience for the bride and groom.

I’ve finally had time to process some images that I took on the day before my wedding. I’ve attached three of them below. To see a few more of these please click on the following link- Aaron Tommasi-Wedding-Portrait-Photography-Flickr/Wedding-Build-up.

I’ve also added Feats of Clay -a unique handcrafted cake topper company to my associates page. The toppers produced are amazing (please see at the bottom to see my own topper).

I meet up with Chris and Karen on Sunday. Who are getting married at St Donats Castle in Wales next August and have booked me as their wedding photographer.

Its been on hell of a month

Hi everyone. As some of you will now its been one hell of a month for me. I turned 30 on the 24th of July and also married my lovely partner Rachel on the same day, she looked wondeful in her Jenny Packham dress wow super wow. It was a wonderful day at the Matara Centre in Kingscote (I cannot recommend it enough as it is such a beautiful wedding venue). All went very smoothly, including the weather. We got some lovely photographs by Mark David Robinson of which I will post a few on my next blog.  We had a couple of days at home with the dogs before jetting out to the wonderful Barcelona I’ve posted a selection of the travel shots that I took.

We arrived back from Barcelona two weeks ago. I was very excited as I was going to start approaching wedding venues and get on their recommended wedding photographer suppliers list for next year and basically (to steal a line from the lovely ladies at Annabel Williams contemporary photography courses) start campaigning like Alan Sugar. Unfortunately I got swine flu and a week later gave it to Rachel, hows that for a wedding present. I’m better now and Rachel is just starting to improve. So its back to business for me. I have taken a look at alot of venues and have narrowed it down to a select few that I am interesting in approaching and will contact them by the end of the week.

    Crazy days.

It is now eight days to my Wedding. Crazy I now. Still slightly recovering from my stag-do on Saturday. Thank you for those who came (I had no idea I was so popular)and a special thanks to Stephen for organizing it. Me and Rachel are rushing around like mad men at the moment just finishing up the few last loose ends.

What’s been happening with the photography I hear you all ask? Well clearly I have had to miss the majority of the wedding (summer) season this year, as there has just been to much on with my own wedding. In August after my honeymoon, I will be banging on several venues doors. As i think its time to get on venues suppliers list and build good relationships with the venues so that I will be able to offer an even better service.

I have been in contact with publication company that supplies material for civil cermonies and Tourism in Essex, so hopefully some of my shots might be used their.

This week I entered 5 Lifestyle portraits into the Taylor Wessing competition at the National Portrait Gallery. So fingers crossed with that one.

    Sorry its been a while

Hi everyone sorry its been a while since my last blog. I have just been really busy. Especially considering my own wedding is only three weeks away.

Rae (my future wife) went to our friends Brenden and Hayley wedding last saturday. We had a great day and found it really relaxing and very romatic. I did however take a few snaps. I couldn’t resisit myself.  If you would like to see a few images click on the following link Aaron Tommasi Photography -Hygate wedding.

    Last weekend in May

Wow it was a busy weekend. A commercial shoot with the covers band Rockpins in the London City on Saturday lots of fun. A real good bunch of lads. Nick if you reading this stop facing the complete opposite way to the camera, but at least it kept everyone spirits high. Check a selection of images from Saturday’s shoot of the Rockpins out at my Aaron Tommasi flickr site.

Then on Sunday I had the lovely pleasure of Brenden and Hayley (as well as their two beautiful Dalmatians) for their pre-wedding shoot. A wonderful couple. I hope you are more relaxed about having your picture taken now. The pair of you will be radiant on your day as you were on Sunday. A selection of images from the Hygate pre-wedding shoot can viewed on my Aaron Tommasi Flickr site.

Have a good remainder of the week everyone and a wicked weekend.

Its been a wait but its finally here.

Hello everyone. Thank you for visiting my new website. This is my first post so I suppose I could keep it short and sweet. I would like to thank the genius that is Alan Offord for being a truly amazing designer even if I’m not sure all the marbles are in the bag. James Yorke (www.becomeknown.co.uk) for building this and making it do crazy things which I don’t think I’ll ever fully understand. Carl Jeffrey (www.fellowcreative.com) who will never state that he did anything, thank you for putting me in touch with Alan and James.
I’d also like to thank all the ladies from Annabel Williams CPT (www.annabelwilliams.com) thank you for giving me belief and direction.
Mark Robinson thanks for all the advice and for being a good friend.
Mum your the greatest. You’ve never ever let me down and have always believed in me. Dad thank you for molding me and encouraging my artistic side from a young age (we sure showed them teachers). I’ll always miss you.
Last but no means least my wonderful partner Rachel, you are my muse my everything. Thank you so much starting me on this roller-coaster I can’t wait to see where we end up. This is, as with everything I do, for and with you.

I promise I’ll try and keep them shorter and a bit more light hearted next time
